1. How do I register for an Institute Trading Webinar / Seminar?

The Institute of Trading and Portfolio Management holds regular Online Webinars for newcomers to the ITPM and Institute Alumni. The ITPM also hold regular on-location Seminars in global financial centres for newcomers to the ITPM and both on-location Seminars and Events in global financial centers for Institute Alumni and Institute Traders.

The quickest and easiest way to register for an Institute Trading Webinar / Seminar is to go to the Events section of the Institute website https://itpm.com/events/ and scroll through the event pages to find your preferred Webinar or on-location Seminar. You can then register for your preferred Webinar / Seminar by clicking the “Register” button. You must then enter your correct and full details in order to be eligible to attend the Webinar / Seminar.

2. Where does the Institute hold Trading Webinars / Seminars?

The Institute holds regular Online Live Trading Webinars for both newcomers to ITPM and Institute Alumni and Institute Traders. When registering for an Online Live Trading Webinar you will be sent all of the details of the Webinar and you will be sent the link to navigate to the Webinar usually one hour before and again five minutes before the webinar begins.

The Institute holds regular on-location Trading Seminars in financial centres around the World in New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, Sydney and Melbourne. We also occasionally visit other cities globally on an ad hoc basis. Our on-location Trading Seminars provide attendees with the opportunity to meet our Senior Trading Mentors face to face

Both Online Webinars and on-location Seminars allow students of the ITPM to learn a new skillset in Trading and help delegates better understand the Institute’s approach in teaching how to trade the Financial Markets. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced level trader, you can expect to receive a much more Professional level of Trading Education from the Institute than you have previously experienced.

3. Why does the Institute provide Trading Online Webinars and on-location Seminars globally?

At ITPM we provide our students with a choice to attend either Online Webinars or on-location Seminars.

We provide on-location Seminars because we have integrity and because we want to meet our future Students, Alumni and Institute Traders face to face. We also book Seminar Rooms up front at our own expense. We could just as easily and more cost effectively ONLY organise Online Webinars or invest heavily in Online Marketing. However, we consciously choose NOT to do this because we think of our student’s requirements as a priority. Our approach actually works strongly in favour of the Student. In each location around the world, Institute on-location Seminars are presented publicly by Institute Senior Trading Mentors. By creating an environment in which our students can meet their Mentors face to face, we provide Seminar delegates with a unique opportunity that allows them to learn a new skillset face to face with their Mentor and assess our educational programmes and Mentors in person, by asking any questions they want to ask in an open face to face forum. We put ourselves out there publicly so you can decide if the Institute and our education is credible.

We provide Online Webinars because the World is a big place. We cannot be physically located everywhere in the World all the time. We hold on-location Seminars around the World in well known global financial centres BUT not everyone can attend these Seminars because of their location or personal circumstances. Many people simply do not want to attend on-location Seminars and would rather learn how to trade financial markets successfully by utilizing online assets. Each of our Mentors has years of real and genuine Trading and Portfolio Management experience at the highest levels of the Trading and Portfolio Management industry. Due to the pedigree of our Mentors and industry leading educational content, even in an Online Webinar setting our students at ITPM learn to the highest standard available in the Retail Trading infrastructure globally. At Online Webinars students can ask questions directly to ITPM Senior Trading Mentors in the Webinar Room and Mentors field questions both out loud to all Webinar delegates or privately in a chat room with the person that is asking the questions. Online Webinars are just as good a format these days as on-Location Seminars.

4. What will I learn at an Institute Trading Webinar / Seminar?

The information at our Webinars / Seminars is very valuable for Retail Traders. Topics that we cover vary across geography and across the areas of expertise of our Mentors. In general, however our topics cover the approach that the vast majority of Professional Traders take when Trading in Financial Markets so our students can learn how to emulate the same approach in their own Retail Brokerage Trading Accounts. By teaching this way i.e. showing students “How To Do It” for real, we also show students “How Not To Do It.” By doing this we make it very obvious why the vast majority of Retail Traders struggle and lose money. Just by understanding this our students increase their chances of making money over the long term because they avoid all of the classic Retail Trader mistakes that every Retail Trader makes when they start out trading.

Just the information we provide in our publicly available Seminars saves our students countless of thousands of dollars in potential trading losses by making them aware of what NOT to do and saves them years of wasted time, energy and resource focussing on the things that don’t matter and that will never make them money. The information in our Seminars stops our students from failing. The Institute also holds Conferences in which all of our Trading Mentors are flown into a location for one day or over a weekend to teach topical and important subjects to help Retail Traders become more consistently profitable. Conferences are usually held in London and in New York.

6. Will Anton Kreil the Managing Partner of the Institute be on a Webinar or at an on-location Seminar?

Anton is the founder of the Institute of Trading and Portfolio Management and has a large online following due to his notoriety in the Trading and Portfolio Management industry. As such we get a lot of requests asking Anton to speak around the World and if Anton will be speaking in particular cities in the future. Unfortunately Anton cannot be everywhere at once. This is just impossible. The Institutes Senior Trading Mentors are selected on the basis that they are as good if not better at trading the financial markets than Anton himself and are more than capable of providing you with an equivalent educational seminar experience than if you attended a seminar held by Anton himself. You will not lose out and you will learn the same material.

Anton resides in Phuket Thailand and runs the Institute from Phuket. He regularly speaks around the World each year at on-location Seminars and Conferences. If you decide not to attend a seminar in your location because “Anton is not speaking at the Seminar” and you think that you might wait for him to come to your location to speak, then think again. He might not come to your location for a very long time to speak or he may never come to your location to speak at all. You will simply waste time and miss out on learning the same material at an on-location Seminar from the Senior Trading Mentor(s) of your location OR from any ITPM Senior Trading Mentors or Anton himself via an Online Webinar.

Additionally, Anton is the creator of and teacher in the Introduction to Professional Level Trading (IPLT) Video Series, the Professional Trading Masterclass (PTM) Video Series, the Professional Options Trading Masterclass (POTM) Video Series and the Professional FOREX Trading Masterclass (PFTM) Video Series. You do not need Anton to physically visit your city in order to learn from him or learn how to trade properly to a Professional standard.

7. Why do I have to register my real name in order to attend a Webinar / Seminar?

This is for two reasons.

Firstly, for on-location Seminars it is for Security and Health and Safety purposes at the event.

Secondly, for ALL Online Webinars, on-location Seminars and Conferences it is for Corporate purposes.

On-Location Seminars – Security, Health and Safety
When registering for an Institute on-location Seminar anywhere in the World, you must register with your real name in order to gain entry into the Seminar. When you arrive at your Seminar you must bring with you your printed-out ticket / confirmation or an electronic version of your ticket / confirmation on your mobile device and a Government issued Photo ID (Passport, Driver’s License, Resident Card, Employment Card, or official ID card) displaying the name that matches the name on your ticket. If you do not bring this you will not be allowed into the Seminar. For Security and Health and Safety purposes we need to verify that you are who you say you are. At each Seminar we have a check in desk with an Institute representative checking every ticket and every ID as each seminar delegate enters the Seminar room. To avoid disappointment make sure you follow our Security and Health and Safety instructions. If you do not and you register under a fake name or forget your ID then unfortunately you simply will not be allowed into the seminar room and you will be asked to leave the building / escorted off the premises.

All Online Webinars, on-location Seminars and Conferences – Corporate
When registering for an Institute seminar anywhere in the World, you must not only register with your real name, but you must also register with your real email address and real telephone number. We require your real details to be kept on file at the Institute as part of our database. If you decide never to interact with the Institute again after attending one of our seminars, then we require your real details so we know never to contact you ever again. If you decide to continue your learning and development with the Institute and we do not have your real contact details, then we will not be able to contact you. Thus, providing your real details from a Corporate perspective is necessary so as not to waste our time and resources and to not waste your time. After each Webinar / Seminar, we also send you resources that will help you become consistently profitable over the long term. If we don’t have your correct details you will not receive them.

Providing your real details to us prior to attending a Webinar / on-location Seminar which is put on at our time and expense, is the very least you can do as a Webinar / on-location Seminar delegate. If you do not do this then as a company we see no point in giving our time and resources to you because by not doing this you have intentionally communicated to us that you are a disingenuous person and you are very likely to be someone who is intentionally wasting our Company time and resources.            

8. I want to bring a friend / family member to an Institute on location Seminar. Can they register under my name?

No. Due to Security, Health and Safety and for Corporate reasons (as above) every person that enters an Institute seminar must have their name registered as their own name, email address and telephone number. If you arrive at an on-location Seminar with a friend / family member and tell us that you registered two tickets under your name, email and phone number, they will not be allowed to enter the seminar room under any circumstances. Tickets for Institute on-location Seminars are limited to one ticket per name, per email and per phone number.

9. Once I have registered for a Webinar / Seminar do I need to do anything else?

Make sure you go through the following checklist before attending an Institute Webinar / seminar; –

    1. Did I register my full and correct details for the Webinar / Seminar? – Check your ticket and email confirmation and check your phone number is correct. If not then cancel your registration and re-register with your correct details.
    2. Before travelling to an on-location Seminar have I got my Government Issued Photo ID with my name that matches the name on my Ticket / confirmation?
    3. Have I left enough time to travel to the on-location Seminar to get there on time?

Other than making sure you follow this checklist, you do not need to do anything else except to show up.

10. Once I have registered is there anything I need to do to prepare for an Institute Trading Webinar / Seminar?

No. You do not need to do anything to prepare for an Institute Webinar / Seminar except to ensure that you have registered with your full and correct details. In the case of a Webinar, you just need to click the link we send you to join the Webinar room. In the case of an on-location Seminar you just need to show up with your ticket and your Government Issued Photo ID with your name that matches the name on your ticket. Other than that, you do not need to do anything to prepare for ITPM Online Webinars / on-location Seminars except show up on time.

11. What time do I need to arrive at a Seminar venue for an on-location Seminar or if attending an Online Webinar what time can I join the Webinar room?

You should arrive at an on-location Seminar venue 20-40 minutes prior to the scheduled time of the start of the seminar. This is because it will take you approximately 10 minutes to register your attendance through the check in desk and to go through the security line. The later you leave it the longer it will take you to get through. The doors of on-location Seminars always close 10 minutes after the scheduled start of the Seminar and you will not be let into the Seminar room if you arrive later than the cut off time as this is the time we close the check in desk and close security.

For Online Webinars, you will usually be sent the link to join the Webinar Room two times. One hour prior to the start of the Webinar AND five minutes before the start of the Webinar. We encourage you to check your SPAM folder as sometimes stringent SPAM filters will restrict the Webinar platforms automatic emails dropping into your inbox.

12. Can you recommend any trading books for me to read prior to attending an Institute Webinar / Seminar?

No, we do not have a recommended reading list and we do not recommend trading books to our students and to people who enquire asking for book recommendations through the company website. We receive multiple messages through the company website every week from individuals that are either too lazy to attend our Webinars / on-location Seminars and / or cannot afford our educational programmes asking us to recommend trading books to them. If you want to educate yourself to a Professional Trading standard this is a very poor strategy. Unfortunately you will not find the answers you are looking for in a $20 book that you can buy on Amazon. You are looking for “shortcuts” that do not exist. Additionally, there are no books that can prepare you properly for our education because our education is very practical, utilising an extremely hands on approach, with lots of spreadsheets and current data, followed by real money implementation in real live trading accounts. The Professional Trader Approach is simply not available in $20 books. There are no shortcuts in trading and there are no “ifs” or “buts.”

13. Why does the Institute charge for some Tickets to their Webinars / Seminars and offer Free Tickets as well?

Ticket types at Webinars / on-location Seminars can vary, however for the vast majority of Institute Webinars / on-location Seminars globally you will find there are typically 4 different tickets types; –

i) Repeat Delegate Tickets
These Tickets are for students that are new to the Institute and have already attended an Online Webinar / on-location Seminar. Repeat Delegate Tickets are rare and only available for a very limited number of Webinars / Seminars each year. If Repeat Delegate Tickets are made available for a particular Webinar / Seminar they are only made available when the Free Ticket allocation for a particular Webinar / Seminar has been fully registered.

ii) Free Tickets
These tickets are available for new students to the Institute i.e. people that have never attended an Institute Webinar / Seminar before. All delegates of Institute Seminars are strictly only allowed to attend an Institute Seminar as a Free Ticket holder once.

iii) ITPM Alumni Tickets
ITPM Alumni Tickets are made available for various Online Webinars, on-location Seminars, Conferences and special one-off Alumni events throughout each year. These tickets cost a nominal / small amount of money and are available for Institute students who have already subscribed to at least one Online Institute Educational Program.

iv) VIP Tickets
These tickets serve a very particular purpose. VIP Tickets allow both Webinar and on-location Seminar delegates to attend a VIP lunch with the Senior Trading Mentor speaking on the Webinar OR at the on-location Seminar prior to the Seminar itself. We often have a large amount of people at our Webinars / Seminars and VIP Tickets allow delegates to spend time with Senior Trading Mentors prior to a Webinar or an on-location Seminar over lunch on a more personal one to one basis.  The cost of the ticket covers lunch and the time of the Senior Trading Mentor to attend the lunch and to answer VIP Ticket Holders questions.

 

14. How many Institute Webinars / Seminars am I allowed to attend as a Free Ticket holder?

You are only allowed to attend an Institute Webinar / Seminar as a Free Ticket Holder strictly only once. The Institute is not a “drop in centre for the homeless Retail Trader” and you cannot attend Webinars / Seminars for Free in perpetuity because you either want to ask our Senior Trading Mentors one or two questions every few months or because you want to “make contacts” in the industry. We are not a charity. If you have been to an Institute Webinar / Seminar once and / or watched our Videos on our YouTube Channel and / or read all of our FAQs, you will have more than enough knowledge to enable you to make a decision as to whether you would like to continue your education with the Institute or not. If you have decided NOT to join the Institute after this then you have communicated to us that you do not want to be educated by us any further or be part of our community. Therefore, if you attended a Webinar / Seminar again as a Free Ticket holder it would be a waste of yours and our time and our resources.

Institute Trading seminars are extremely popular and you will simply be taking the place of someone that is new to the Institute and who will benefit more from the Webinar / Seminar. No exceptions will be made. If you have been to an Institute Webinar / Seminar before as a Free Ticket holder and not joined the Institute, you will not be allowed to attend again for Free. If you want to attend because you want a “refresher” session on the information that we provide in a particular Webinar / on-location Seminar or there is a new topic being presented in your geography, then you will have to purchase either a Repeat Delegate Ticket (if available) or subscribe to an ITPM Online Education Program and the purchase an ITPM Alumni Ticket (if available).

If you attempt to register a second time as a Free Ticket Holder after attending one of our Webinars / Seminars for Free, your registration will be cancelled during our pre-seminar audit of delegates. In the case of an Online Webinar, you will not receive the Webinar link. In the case of an on-location Seminar you will not be allowed into the venue of the Seminar.

15. I am a current student (Alumni) at the Institute. Can I attend an Institute Webinar / Seminar as a Free Ticket Holder?

In the case of both Online Webinars, on-location Seminars, Conferences and Events, Institute Alumni cannot attend as Fee Ticket Holders. This is because Free Tickets are only allocated to newcomers / First Timers to ITPM as an incentive to see what ITPM is all about. ITPM Alumni are defined as a person who has subscribed to at least one ITPM Online Education Program. By doing so you now know how good ITPM is and you are fully aware of the pedigree of our Mentors and the high standard of our educational content. Newcomers / First Timers to ITPM are sometimes NOT aware of this and need an incentive to find out.

Throughout each year ITPM provides multiple opportunities and resources to Alumni to attend Alumni only Webinars and Seminars and also Conferences and other get togethers / events in various regions.

In the case of on-location Seminars, these obviously cost ITPM money to put on and a lot of Company time and resource to organize. Institute seminars are primarily for delegates that are new to the Institute and our educational courses, not for current students (Alumni) or Institute Traders. The primary purpose of Institute on-location Seminars is to educate delegates that are new to the Institute and to show them what not to do and what to do in the Financial Markets to ensure a high probability of consistent long-term profitability, not for current students to attend in order to ask Mentors questions related to ITPM Online Educational Courses. For this we have Alumni ONLY Online Webinars and Seminars .., the Institute Trader Community – Please see the FAQs documents Institute Trader Benefits and Becoming an Institute Trader additionally we have Three Month Trader Mentoring Programs available for further Educational Development – Please see the FAQs document Three Month Trader Mentoring Program.

16. I am currently an Institute Trader at ITPM. Can I attend an Institute Webinar / Seminar as a Free Ticket Holder?

No! (Please see the answer to the above FAQ 15)  Institute Webinars / Seminars are not social events for Institute Traders or events to meet up with regional Mentors and to ask them questions related to your trading. This is what Alumni Only Webinars and Seminars, the Institute Community and the Three Month Trader Mentoring Programme is for.

17. What is a VIP Ticket to a Webinar / on-location Seminar and what is included in the ticket price?

These tickets serve a very particular purpose. VIP Tickets allow Webinar / on-location Seminar delegates to attend a VIP lunch with the Senior Trading Mentor who is speaking on a Webinar / at an on-location Seminar prior to the Seminar itself. We often have a large amount of people attend our Webinars / Seminars and VIP Tickets allow delegates to spend time with Senior Trading Mentors over lunch on a more personal one to one basis.  The cost of the ticket covers lunch and the time of the Senior Trading Mentor to attend the lunch and to answer your questions.

VIP lunches therefore allow delegates to get to know their Mentor on a more personal basis and allows the Mentor to get to know their students on a more personal basis. At each VIP lunch, there is a small number of attendees in the group. VIP Ticket holders therefore also get to spend time networking in a small group of likeminded people who are interested, dedicated and serious about learning how to trade Financial Markets to a high standard. In the case of an on-location Seminar, VIP Ticket holders are also guaranteed front row seating at the Seminar itself which follows the VIP lunch.

18. Does the Institute provide food and drinks at on-location Seminars?

In most locations soft drinks, waters, coffees, teas and snacks are available via vending machines in the buildings. We do not provide food. However, dependent on which building we hold a Seminar at, we do from time to time provide hot and cold drinks. You should however not depend on this if you feel you will need to eat or drink when arriving at the Seminar or after the Seminar. We do not provide food and drink at every Seminar in the world as a strict policy. Only if it is available from the vendors of the building and we do not provide meals.

19. Does the Institute provide parking at its on-location Seminars?

No, the Institute does not provide parking at our Seminars. You must contact the building venue directly to ask them where the best car parking spots are if you plan to drive to our Seminars.

20. Can the Institute recommend any Hotels to me at an ITPM Seminar / Conference location?

No, but we have found that in our experience, delegates travelling to our Seminars and Conferences and who require an overnight stay that www.booking.com is the most efficient resource you can use in booking cost effective Hotel rooms and also on late deals. For ITPM Conferences specifically, these are usually held at Hotel venues and ITPM usually obtains a discounted delegate room rate at the hotel. Watch out for information relating to this in ITPM Conference advertising.

21. When will the Institute be holding a live in person Seminar in my location?

The answer to this question is very straight forward and simple. If you browse through the published on-location Seminars at the events page on the Institute website https://itpm.com/events/  …, at any given moment in time you will find Institute on-location Seminars in most major financial centres around the world being advertised. Whatever is published at the time you are looking at the website is what is planned for upcoming on-location Seminars. If your city / town is not mentioned then we are not planning to come to your city / town. If you live outside of one of these Seminar locations and want to attend one of our on-location Seminars, then all you have to do is book yourself a low-cost flight to the nearest location, book yourself a hotel room and fly in for the day. Our on-location Seminars are held on every continent except Africa and they are Free to new students of the Institute.

If you can’t manage to bring yourself to do this then you should just book a ticket to an Online Webinar.

Additionally, you should probably ask yourself some very simple questions; –

  • Why do I really want to attend an Institute on-location Seminar? 
  • Do I want to attend an Institute on-location Seminar because I genuinely want to learn how to trade Financial Markets properly? Yes / No
  • Do I expect / feel entitled that the Institute should come to my City / Town to hold a Seminar? Yes / No
  • Why do I expect the Institute to come to my City / Town?
  • Do I expect the Institute to come to my City / Town to hold a Seminar because I can’t be bothered to go to the nearest location they are holding a Seminar? Yes / No
  • Why don’t a just register for an Online Webinar ticket instead?
  • Do I expect the Institute to come to me because I don’t have any money? Yes / No
  • Do I need money to trade Financial Markets? Yes / No
  • Am I for some reason under the impression that I can trade Financial Markets with no money? Yes / No
  • If I’ve never made any money doing anything else in my life, why do I expect that I can make money trading Financial Markets? (especially if I have no money to start).
  • Am I highly motivated or am I lazy? Am I committed to learning? Yes / No
  • If Lazy, do lazy people succeed in Trading Financial Markets? Yes / No
  • What is the real reason for me refusing to go to the nearest Seminar location, but expect the Institute to come to me and refuse to register for an Online Webinar?
  • Do I want to attend an Institute on-location Seminar and expect them to come to me because I just want to meet and take a “Selfie” with the Senior Trading Mentor? Yes / No
  • Do I think it is “unfair” that the Institute only holds on-location Seminars in global Financial Centres but not in my Country / City / Town? Yes / No
  • If so why do I think is it is “unfair” that the Institute holds seminars in global Financial Centres but not in my Country or / City / Town?
  • Is it the Institutes fault that I chose to live where I live? Yes / No
  • Am I just looking for a reason not to attend the nearest on-location Seminar or register for an Online Webinar? Yes / No
  • Do people who make excuses succeed in Trading Financial Markets? Yes / No
  • Is the reason that the Institute does not hold seminars in my City / Town a reason for me NOT to purchase the Institutes Online Educational Programmes? Yes / No
  • Am I just looking for an excuse / reason not to jump straight to purchasing the Institutes Online Educational Programs? Yes / No

Institute Webinars / Seminars are put on at our time and expense and an unfocussed approach will never allow you to succeed in the Financial Markets. It’s not the Institutes problem that the population of your City / Town that is interested in Trading and Portfolio Management is too small for us to physically come to you. It is also not the Institutes purpose simply to hold on-location Seminars globally at our expense to provide you with the opportunity to take “Selfies” with our Senior Trading Mentors. If you are serious about learning how to trade the real Professional way and have the financial resources and time to attend one of our on-location seminars you will make it happen. If not then stop whining and just register for an Online Webinar.

If you can’t make it to an Institute on-location Seminar due to cost and time restrictions, then this doesn’t mean you cannot become part of the Institute and start your journey by simply registering for an Online Webinar or jumping straight to purchasing our education online at https://itpm.com/education/ – We have thousands of students globally that have not attended an Institute Webinar or Seminar and who have simply jumped straight to purchasing our educational programs online. Just because you haven’t been to a Seminar physically or to a Webinar virtually doesn’t mean you cannot purchase the Institutes online education and learn how to trade properly.
